Gray and Sam are brother and sister and best friends, flatmates in New York City, where she creates ad campaigns and he’s a surgery intern. Their social life is too insular, so they head to a dog park so Sam can, maybe, meet a woman. He does - Charlie - a zoologist new in the city; he likes her immediately, and the feeling seems mutual. As the three of them spend time together, what if Gray’s feelings for Charlie aren’t just sisterly? Not only might this explain her solitary life, but it could lead to real dilemmas - with Charlie (who’s sweet, but a bit opaque) and with Sam. Happy Mother’s Day, Spider Lilies, and Work-Related Things…

First off I want to say HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the moms out there! I got my mom flowers, and they arrived yesterday. She couldn’t thank me enough between racking sobs. She almost made me cry!
I completed Spider Lilies yesterday as well. It was good to actually know what was being said in the Japanese bits now too, though, the subtitles were HORRIBLE, like, where there was I’m or I’ve, there was like horrible spaces so it looked like I ‘ ve. Also, some of the translations were all mumbo jumboed…I only know basic Japanese, and I could tell, that the main language, Mandarin was just being BUTCHERED. I think I’ll stick to my fan-subbed version, though, the Japanese bits there aren’t subtitled.
Anywho!
Jade is a webcam girl, who broadcasts herself nightly on the internet to anonymous users. She seeks a tattoo, which leads her to the studio of tattoo artist Takeko, who also happens to be Jade’s childhood crush. Jade becomes entranced by a large tattoo of golden flowers—spider lilies—on Takeko’s arm. She wants the same design, but Takeko refuses, telling her that the flowers are cursed. Takeko’s father, who was killed in an earthquake, had the same tattoo on his arm. Her younger brother witnessed the incident and was traumatised by it, left with no memory except for the image of the flowers. Takeko decided to get the same tattoo, in the hope that it would help her brother’s recovery. Nevertheless, Takeko finds herself drawn to Jade, and begins designing a new tattoo for her. Meanwhile, a young police officer trying to ambush Jade and the rest of the girls working in the same website, but takes to speaking to her, listening to her childhood stories and connecting with her, therefore slowing down the investigation he is supposed to be working on. Eventually he falls in love with her, trying to tell her to get out before it’s too late and before she’s caught. He blurts out that he loves her, and Jade, mistaking him for Takeko, goes to her. They make love and this causes Takeko to become distracted from her brother. Desperate and frightened, he goes out to a road looking for her, but instead he gets in a car accident. The policeman finally tells Jade who he is and that she must get offline immediately. She cries and realizes it was not Takeko who had told her she loved her. - Wikipedia
I’ve been discussing the summer with my mom as far as work. I’m thinking of picking up Tuesday and Wednesday pretty soon, as Fridays will get hectic with bennies (tourists) coming ‘down to the shore’ for the weekends. Starting in September, when school resumes, I might be doing three days at the office, and then just two days at the cafe. I make more money with my cousin, so I’m definitely considering it. She also suggested me ‘continuing my education’ …I’m not in that mindset anymore, I’m sorry. I got my High School Diploma, that’s good enough for me.
I did some cleaning about my room. Laundry and changed my bedsheets -FINALLY- I will now change them every two weeks, and febreeze the hell out of my mattress. The sheets I had on, were made for a King sized bed…and I only have a full sized…so the fitted sheet was constantly falling off. LOL
Still planning for Anime Next, I think I got my outfit planned out, I just gotta order a new cat collar, but depending on how badges work, I might scrap the idea all together, so I don’t choke myself to death with a badge lanyard and a collar.

Thanks IRS for your stimulus payment. I plan to use it to pay my health insurance and cellphone bill. Thanks for saving my ass, I’m not going to Shoprite or Walmart and getting a dinky $300 giftcard, so you can just kiss my ass.

I get paid twice today, $49 from the Cafe cos I only worked two days, and then taxes slam it….I dunno what I made at the office, I’ll find out when I get there. But right now my bank account went from like $96 to $600 something overnight. xDDD and it’s only going to increase later this afternoon. My first Bloggerwave opp. got approved already too! In 30 days I shall have $10~ So, as you can see I worked on the next one in my previous post. Damn, I’m just rolling in the cash right now right?
Today also at the office, we are ordering in lunch for a belated birthday lunch for me! Yay~

My friend Genevieve is taking me to Anime Next this year!! Her sister Fiona is a student at CRHS, and although I haven’t seen her yet cos i don’t pay much attention to the frickin’ snackbar… LOL
Gen and I met online on Furcadia (a MMOSG) a couple years ago, and we were talking randomly then. Turns out she lived in Seaside, about 20-30mins away from me. I’m really excited to go and hang out with her. We also plan to go and see Bunraku together when it comes out.
I’m hoping my damn Stimulus payment comes in tomorrow. I got shit to pay and shit to buy. Oy.

Since I kept being denied by PayPerPost, I decided to check out Bloggerwave. I didn’t think I was going to be accepted by them after having no approval email after so long, but today I checked my e-mail and there was an approval email from them! I was so excited!
